Good Monday Morning

We had a magnificent storm last night in Newmarket with wonderful lightning and much needed rain. It’s a stunning Monday to get the week started.. let’s go make our dreams happen!

My usual thought to start this weeks blog; “We are all broken, that’s how the light gets in…”

Today is day 1 of 4 of the Worlds Largest Thoroughbred Horses In Training Sale at Tattersalls in Newmarket. There are so many really nice horses for sale. A whole host of international buyers will be in town, sadly taking a good number of the better British horses to race internationally due to the poor prize money and high cost of keeping a horse racing in England, as well as the uncompetitive nature of the way racing works here, being dominated by super powers. The great thing about racing though, is there are always some fantastic stories that come out of smaller yards from smaller owners and there is still lots of fun too be had and there will always be value to be found should you do your homework and have the right team at the sales with you. We have that, and we will be at the sales for all 4 days but we are only purchasing pre ordered and not speculating, SO GET IN TOUCH. Although UK racing faces many challenges, for now, it’s still the best racing and most prestigious racing in the world and there is no better racing to be involved in. Our vision and dreams are Royal Ascot and places like that, so don’t miss out. In our first season with only 5 racing horses, we’ve already raced at Ascot in the Shergar Cup, Doncaster on St Ledger Day, HQ Newmarket in the Cesarawitch and on Future Champions Day as well as The Tattersalls Sommerville Sales day and race. With more supper and more horses, there is a lot more fun to be had by our owners racing with us.. I say it again, GET INVOLVED.

Last week we had Silver Sword run at Newmarket against, what can only be described as a race to follow. Godolphin won the race with Military Order who is rumoured to be their Derby horse, being a full brother to Derby winner Adayar. The rest of the field was really strong as well. Silver Sword we always knew was talented but he has been challenging to say the least! He has always shown us Group quality work but refused to race in his first two starts, so this was theoretically his first start which makes his performance finishing 5th only beaten 4 length, so much more impressive. Our whole team has worked so hard on him and we seem to have got his mind right. Besides all the stalls schooling we have done, we schooled him over hurdles to get him going forward which really changed his mind. He is exciting for us for next year and could be a serious horse for us and it’s so rewarding to all of us to see him race after what we have all been through with him. It’s testament to the small team I have and all our experience put together to get this horse racing.

We don’t have any runners this week but will have runners from next week again. It would be lovely to get a jumper or two for the winter as we are dual purpose but it’s not easy finding owners for all these horses we want. If anyone is looking for a smaller yard with lots of personal attention to the owner and horse, we have space available. Newmarket has amazing schooling and jumping facilities.

There isn’t much turf racing left and we are into the All Weather Championship Season where there is some competitive prize money on offer and lots of good racing. We only have Mr Fayez and Confederation who will run this winter and both should be really competitive and do well for us. We still have the last few shares to sell in Confederation through our fun and transparent syndicate Catch Us If You Can Racing, so get involved now before it’s too late and stay warm this winter racing with us.

To close today; Elon Musk said “Many people will panic to find a charger before their phone dies, but won’t panic to find a plan before their dreams die!”

Until next week stay updated daily following our social media.
