Blog Forty Nine

Good Monday Morning

As always to start, a Monday thought; “The secret to a perfect Monday, is positive thinking!”

As I write this blog early this morning and for the past morning or two, the birds are out chirping and although it’s still deep winter, there’s already a spring like feeling in the air. The days are getting longer and it’s nice being at work in daylight again.

Over the past week we hosted Thoroughbred Tales, a great initiative trying to showcase behind the scenes in a yard and the actual love and care that goes into a racing yard. It’s was a lot of fun and I hope you enjoyed the content.

On Tuesday night, myself and John Berry were kindly invited to Bedford Racing Club where we were guest speakers and it was a fantastic night. Jeremy and Ann hosted us so wonderfully and all the members we real racing fans and fascinated to listen to racing stories and really interactive asking questions. What was meant to be 2 hours went on for 3 or 4 hours and we really enjoyed it. It’s lovely to see that there are still racing mad/passions fans that love the game. Racing has its romance. It’s equine and human characters and the stories that make it fantastic. I’m pleased to say that off the back of this, we have arranged a double stable visit for the club as well soon. John Berry is the perfect driver as well, all his knowledge about racing and people all over the world, makes a hour drive feel like a couple of minutes at the most.

I’m personally selling 50% of Expressionless and the new owner will get 100% of the raceday owners badges 100% of the time. He’s a lovey horse and will be busy this year. I just can’t personally own all the horses and as we keep buying and growing, I obviously need to sell off shares which makes business sense. He’s had a fantastic start as a two year old and will be lots of fun as a three year old this year.

Our syndicates Catch Us If You Can Racing and Quest Thoroughbreds both have shares available in some really nice types as well. Get in contact with them and join the fun for the future.

Our Greyhound Athena’s Spear won a fantastic race on Wednesday night. She has done really well and seeing her win so easily was really exciting. We recently got another Greyhound nicknamed Buddy who’s arrived in the UK from Ireland and he’s going to be fun for Catch Us If You Can Racing as well, adding a little something extra to the racing horses. There are a handful of shares available in him as well.

As we continue to grow and improve things around the yard and build team of horses and staff, I am looking for a sponsor to join our brand and sponsor the yard. There will be a lot of exposure, linked to all our branding, social media, staff & equine clothing and rugging etc and branding on our horsebox. The exposure will be out there which includes television and all media coverage. This could be an exciting opportunity for a company that recognises a growing and innovative brand and wants to partner with us. Get in touch with me for further details.

There is currently not a lot of racing to write about, but, we are only a few weeks away from the best flat racing in the world, so there is a lot to look forward to.

To close todays blog and head into the week, a thought; “Don’t wish for it, work for it!”

Stay updated and in touch daily following our social media and check back next Monday for another blog.
